Spring is finally here and with that it might be time to refresh your skincare routine. Warmer weather means that the needs of your skin could be changing and with that you might want to switch up the products you are using and the routine that you have on a daily basis. Below are some spring skin care tips:

  1. Hydrate. Skin care products with ingredients like hyaluronic acid will help with hydration. It is also important to drink plenty of water so that you stay hydrated from the inside.
  2. Switch to Lightweight Products. In colder weather, we might use thicker moisturizers, but now that the weather is warmer, it’s important to use lighter-weight products that won’t clog your pores or feel heavy on your skin. Using oil-free moisturizers and serums keeps your skin feeling fresh and breathable.
  3. Exfoliate. Exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells and allows your skincare products to penetrate more effectively. Think about exfoliating your skin at least once a week. If you have sensitive skin, you might exfoliate less frequently (maybe every other week). There are products out there for exfoliation and many of them are gentle.
  4. Wear SPF. Wear SPF every day, even in the winter and even if you are inside. In the Spring, we spend more time outdoors, so it’s important to wear SPF.
  5. Add antioxidants to your skincare routine. Antioxidants like vitamin C or vitamin E help protect your skin from environmental damage and free radicals.
  6. Stay consistent. Whatever skincare routine you decide to go with, stay consistent. That is how you will see results.
