Everything You Thought You Knew is NEW

Have you heard of Avon? Have you seen Avon lately? I have been an Avon Ind. Sales Representative in the United States since August 2011. In the years since I have started, I have seen the changes Avon has implemented to try to better the business opportunity as well as to update the look and feel of current products and introduce new innovative products that are relevant to the current industry. In the video above I go through some points about these changes to Avon. These points are also outlined below. If you haven’t checked out Avon in awhile, then it is definitely worth taking a second look.

New Avon, LLC

In March 2016, the North American Avon business was bought by a company named Cerberus Capital Management and became New Avon, LLC. New Avon, LLC runs the United States Avon business. Since the takeover, New Avon has been working to make the business a better direct sales opportunity for Representatives. Some ways this is happening is by revamping the business in several ways. I have never been happier to be an Avon Representative, and I truly think the earnings opportunity is better than it has ever been before.

New Product Innovations

Avon has recently introduced several new products with innovative ingredients to compete in the industry. Some of these products include the Anew Ultimate Supreme Anti-Aging Crème. This skin care cream includes Tahitian black pearl and Avon’s exclusive Celluvive Complex. The cream was featured in Maire Claire in an article that talked about the uses of pearls in beauty products in May 2017. Avon also recently introduced it’s first gluten free skin care products under the Nutraeffects skin care line which includes four different sub lines of day and night creams based on what you are looking to treat and your skin type. Sheet Masks have been around for awhile now and Avon entered the industry with it’s Anew Sheet Masks for brightening and firming in 2017. There are other products to come and these are just a few, but things can only go up from here!

New Attitude–This is Boss Life

In the fall of 2016, Avon introduced the “This is Boss Life” marketing campaign which shares how Avon Representatives are in business for themselves, taking charge of their lives to create a better future for themselves and for their families. Avon selected real representatives and their stories to share how these men and women are living the boss life. I truly enjoy my own day to day experience as a representative and I personally love how I can set my own hours and work the business around a full time teaching job to earn an extra income that helps pay the bills as well as saves me money on several of my own purchases that I would be spending more money on if I bought them from another company. Part of the new attitude also includes new incentives for representatives such as the opportunity to earn $1,010 in your first 90 days when you Kickstart your Avon business with the Kickstart incentive for new representatives! New and existing representatives also have opportunities to win vacations and prizes!

New Ways to Get Started

When I joined Avon back in 2011, there was one set fee and one starter kit with minimal business materials. As of the writing of this post, there are three starter kit options priced at $25, $50, and $100. These three kits offer different levels of business materials based on what a new representative wants to put into the business from the start. These kits are still very reasonably and competitively priced when compared with other direct sales companies. I discuss the three options in a bit more detail in my video. The basics are as follows, the more money you pay the more you get when it comes to full size products, samples, and business materials. The $100 kit also includes a wonderful bag that can be used to promote your Avon business.

New Ways to Share

Each year, Avon has made steps to make it easier to share your business using Social Media outlets. The Social Media Center allows you to select readily made posts and share them to major social media websites as well as text them to your customers and potential team members. You can also share individual product links straight from your eStore. Of course, the best way to share on Social Media is to be your own best testimonial and share your personal experiences, but these posts are a great place to start when you first start your business as well as when you are learning new Social Media platforms. Avon is also starting to provide some training in sharing your business online as well as there are experienced representatives out there that provide paid training to show you how you can be successful. As your mentor, if you join my team I will gladly share my personal experiences for free and point you in the direction of the training that I have come across that has helped me with growing my online presence. My best advice here is to start promoting online from day one.

New Opportunities to Earn

Chances are if you are looking into becoming an Avon Representative, you are wanting to know how much money you can bring in with your Avon business. The best answer to this is if you set goals and work for them, you will earn more. The more you put into your business, the more you will get out of it. This starts with the Kickstart Incentive and goals for new representatives and goes forward into the percent you will earn off of your personal sales and in the leadership program. The more you grow, the more you earn. Our earnings opportunity has seriously never been better as New Avon just revamped how we earn off of our sales as well as in the leadership program providing representatives with more earnings opportunities.

New Celebrities

New Avon has recently partnered with Sofia Vergara to bring you the So Very Sofia Fragrance for Women. New Avon is also partnered with Lucy Hale who is a brand ambassador for the Mark. by Avon line of products. There is sure to be more partnerships such as these in the future.

New Ways to Make A Difference

New Avon has the Avon Foundation for Women which supports two major causes, the Speak Out Against Domestic Violence campaign and the Breast Cancer Crusade campaign. Both of these causes are of importance to women and as representatives you can make a difference. New Avon also has the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer which raises money to go towards Breast Cancer research and awareness programs.

 About Amanda Davis – My Avon Story

I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and still live locally. I have my Masters in Teaching for Early and Elementary Education and I am an early childhood teacher. I have been teaching for five years. In the next five years, I would like to get my reading specialist endorsement so that I can become a reading specialist. I joined Avon in August 2011 in order to earn an income around going to college full time. When I first joined Avon, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I had never heard of direct sales. My mother had actually been an Avon Representative briefly before I was born and she shared some about the company with me and said that I should go for it! I met with my upline sales leader and she signed me up and the rest is history! Over the last several years, Avon has become a major passion of mine and I have enjoyed being able to share Avon and it’s products and missions with those around me.In 2013, I took an interest in expanding my online Avon business and since then I have been blogging and growing my Social Media presence. Avon is truly loved by many and when you start sharing that online you can really see the love and support from others worldwide. Even though we can only serve customers in the United States and share the Avon opportunity with those in the USA, worldwide followers will find you on Social Media and the web.  In 2014, I was awarded the Spirit of Avon award and I earned the coveted President’s Club sales level and my first Mrs. P.F.E. Albee figurine. Mrs. P.F.E. Albee was the first Avon Lady back when David McConnell (Avon’s founder) had the California Perfume Company (which later became Avon Products). In 2016, Avon Products North America was bought out and thus New Avon, LLC was born. I have been super excited for the new changes of New Avon, LLC! My goals in 2017 are to continue to grow my online presence, earn President’s Club sales level, and become an Ambassador or above in our leadership chain. I do not have a family yet, but my hope is that when I decide to start one I can use Avon as a source of income in order to stay at home with my children when they are small like my mom stayed home with me and my brother until we both were in school.
