How old do you have to be to be an Avon Representative? In the United States, you have to be 18 years old to enroll to be an Avon Representative.

How Much Does It Cost To Sell Avon?

The current enrollment fee as of July 2019 is just $30! Once you enroll, what you spend is up to you. There are no minimum order sizes and no quotas to stay active. It is your choice on whether you will have an inventory or not (in fact most representatives find success with minimal inventory on hand). Your website is currently provided to you for FREE so there are no regular website fees to remain active. If you choose to promote face to face business tools such as samples, brochures, and product bags do cost a minimal cost (but these items are not required). If you place orders on your Avon back office then there are shipping costs associated with your orders based on the size of the order (again these costs are minimal and you can recoup them when you charge a processing fee to your customers–most representatives charge each face to face customer .75 to $2 in order to help recoup shipping costs). You can choose to sell Avon solely online and use your free website to service customers.

Sell Avon Products

Once you sign up to Sell Avon, if you are serious about selling and making money, then you will want to share the Avon products with potential customers. How you share is up to you! Some representatives still use “traditional” routes and share Avon in their communities and with friends and family. Other representatives choose to use online routes to share Avon. Many representatives find success sharing Avon both ways (with face to face efforts and online). Avon provides FREE Training with ideas on growing your business. I also provide FREE Tips, etc. to representatives that sign up with me.

When you sell using your customer website, you share your website with potential customers and then when they place an order you will get paid within 2 business days of the order shipping. The commission initially gets credited to your Avon account and then after 2 business days, if you do not owe any money to Avon, the money is deposited into your bank account (when you have direct deposit setup). Avon also provides a FREE Social Media content curator that is state of the art and can be accessed from your representative account.

When you sell face to face, you will collect the money from your customers upfront. You then place the order with Avon and pay Avon and any money left over is your profit.

Avon releases a new catalog (also called Avon Book and Avon Brochure) every two weeks. Each catalog is a “campaign”. Every campaign runs for two weeks. During that time, you can place your order at any time for it to count for that campaign. It is not required that you place an order every two weeks. It is required that you place an order periodically or that customers are consistently ordering from your online store. Online store orders are based on the campaign that they ship in as far as the sales credit for that campaign. Online store orders can sometimes take a couple of days to ship depending on when they are placed.

How much money do you make when you Sell Avon?

Your commission is based on your total sales in a two week period. At minimum you can earn 20% commission. Fixed earnings items (fashion and home) are a flat 20% commission. Full earnings items (makeup, skin care, fragrance, health & wellness, jewelry) are on a scaled commission based on your total order size and the total of your orders between the online orders shipped during the campaign and any orders you place on the representative account. You can earn up to 40% commission. As a top selling representative, you can currently earn up to 50% commission for larger orders. You also earn money when you build a team of representatives and help them to be successful. Most of your money will come from your sales though.

You will also receive an email from me if you sign up with me as your mentor. Avon sends out emails to representatives to keep you up to date on what is happening and I will send out emails as well. You should also start with your Avon U training right away once you get your account up and running and setup your online store so that you can be open for business from day one!
