Hello! My name is Amanda Davis and I have been an Avon Representative since August 2011! I want to talk a little about How to Sell Avon Successfully. I am going to start by saying how we all define success is going to be different. Can you make money with Avon? Absolutely! How you decide to spend that money is going to be up to you. Many representatives join Avon in order to enjoy a personal discount on their own orders. When you start spending a whole lot of money on a product, why not share it with others and make some money while you’re at it? Other representatives just want to earn extra income around working a full-time job. While others join as a way to make money from home either part-time or full-time. No matter your why for joining, Avon can definitely be a great option for you. Signing up to sell Avon is easy! Please note this information is for those living in the United States. If you are not in the United States, you will have to find an Avon Rep in your country. In less than 5 minutes, you can start your own Avon business! Fill out the registration form and select which kit you would like to start with. You can use your free online store to start right away! To become an Avon Representative online follow these steps.

  1. Go to your representative’s website and click Become a Representative.
  2. Fill out the information requested to get started.
  3. Follow the on screen prompts and start your account. Then, you will be assigned your own representative account number and have access to your new online Avon Representative account.

  • Use the products yourself and share testimonials.
  • Utilize your online store for customers.
  • If you are serious about selling Avon online or selling Avon online only, start a blog such as this one as soon as possible.

      • What are some of your personal favorite Avon products?

How to Sell Avon

Avon started out as a face-to-face business where representatives would go door to door in assigned territories and knock on doors to promote the Avon products. This is how the direct selling industry started. Today, many representatives still run face-to-face businesses while others decide to sell Avon online only or do a combination of face-to-face and online sales. Personally, I do a combination. If you wish to become an Avon Representative online, you follow the same steps to start your Avon business as someone who wishes to do a more face-to-face business. Follow the steps above to get started. It is your business so you decide if you wish to sell Avon online only, sell Avon face-to-face, or a combination of the two.

Once you sign-up and get your Avon account number, you will need to go to register your account so you have access to the Avon website for representatives. This is where you will setup your free online store, place orders, receive training, etc. You will want to check this website often as it is where most of your business tools will be located. If you wish to sell Avon successfully and especially if you wish to sell Avon online only, you will want to make setting up your customer website your first priority. After that, you will want to check out Avon U and begin your representative training. Both of these tasks can be done before you even receive your starter kit. The courses in Avon U are designed to show you how to sell Avon successfully.

As of 2017, our commission on sales from our Avon representative stores match up with our commission from our face-to-face sales. You earn based on the total amount of sales during a campaign. Our campaigns run for approximately two weeks and there are twenty-six campaigns in a year. You can earn more money when you share the Avon Opportunity with others and sign new people to Avon on your team.

How much does it cost to Sell Avon?

The sign-up fee to Become an Avon Representative Online is as low as $25 as of this blog post. As of November 2017, you have three starter kits to choose from. The basic kit is $25. Then there is a $50 kit and a $100 kit. You can be successful no matter which kit you choose to start with. The main difference between the kits is that the $100 kit comes with a special bag as well as more full size products. You choose how much you want to pay upfront. Once you sign-up you will be provided a free online representative store to Sell Avon Online, however you will be expected to pay for your brochures and sales tools. Brochures start at $6.49 for a pack of 10 brochures but the more brochures you get the less each individual brochure costs. We release new brochures every two weeks. If you choose to place representative orders, you will have a shipping cost for each personal order (current shipping costs range from $6-$19 depending on order size and if your order is on time). Your business costs can be recouped with your commissions from your sales and by charging an order processing fee to your face-to-face customers. Avon Representatives charge from 0.75 cents to $2.00 depending on order size, distance traveled, etc. One way to avoid the extra costs is to utilize your online website for customers as much as possible and to combine as many customer orders as possible into one order that is placed per campaign. Our company still has minimal costs when compared to other direct sales companies. There is no inventory required to be an Avon Representative and you really only need to get samples when customers request specific samples to try if they are available.

I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and still live locally. I have my Masters in Teaching for Early and Elementary Education and I am an early childhood teacher. I joined Avon in August 2011 in order to earn an income around going to college full time. When I first joined Avon, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I had never heard of direct sales. My mother had actually been an Avon Representative briefly before I was born and she shared some about the company with me and said that I should go for it! I met with my upline sales leader and she signed me up and the rest is history! Over the last several years, Avon has become a major passion of mine and I have enjoyed being able to share Avon and it’s products and missions with those around me.In 2013, I took an interest in expanding my online Avon business and since then I have been blogging and growing my Social Media presence. Avon is truly loved by many and when you start sharing that online you can really see the love and support from others worldwide. Even though we can only serve customers in the United States and share the Avon opportunity with those in the USA, worldwide followers will find you on Social Media and the web.  In 2014, I was awarded the Spirit of Avon award and I earned the coveted President’s Club sales level and my first Mrs. P.F.E. Albee figurine. Mrs. P.F.E. Albee was the first Avon Lady back when David McConnell (Avon’s founder) had the California Perfume Company (which later became Avon Products). In 2016, Avon Products North America was bought out and thus New Avon, LLC was born. I have been super excited for the new changes of New Avon, LLC! I do not have a family yet, but my hope is that when I decide to start one I can use Avon as a source of income in order to stay at home with my children when they are small like my mom stayed home with me and my brother until we both were in school.
