About Selling Avon–How does Selling Avon Work in 2019?

About Selling Avon in 2019

If you found this post you are probably interested in Selling Avon, but unsure of how it works. Selling Avon is pretty simple. As an Avon Representative, you are an independent seller of Avon Products. In the United States, you sell the products for Avon USA which is under the corporate umbrella of New Avon, LLC. You are not an employee of Avon. Avon Independent Sales Representatives are independent business owners that sell and promote Avon Products. What it all comes down to is you make money when you share your products with others and they decide to buy from you or join your team.

How does being an Avon Rep Work?

Basically you sign up to sell Avon–you promote the products to find customers and/or build your team–you make commission from your sales and you can make a residual income from your team sales. Watch the video above for more information. See below for answers to some most commonly asked questions.

What is an Avon Campaign?Avon releases catalogs by the campaign every two weeks. There are 26 campaigns/catalogs in a calendar year. Avon uses the campaign to keep track of regular order dates and to keep track of your sales and team sales as well as to have a way for you to be paid regularly on your leadership earnings and to have time frames for incentives, etc.

How much does it cost to Join Avon? To join Avon you start for just $25. Once you sign up what you invest is up to you. We offer a FREE Website and no monthly fees.

Are there additional costs associated with selling Avon? If you place orders for yourself or customers you will pay minimal shipping fees (which can be reimbursed by charging your customer a service fee). Of course business tools-bags, brochures, samples, etc will cost money. However, the great thing about Avon is that there is a variety of ways to share the products and you can choose to run your business using your eStore (free website) and have customers place their orders that way (which means earnings in your pocket with less effort from you). You can also sell Avon without having an inventory and you do not necessarily need samples.

Do I have to meet a sales quota with Avon? Not at all! Some companies require you to meet a quota monthly or quarterly to stay active. Avon does not! All that Avon requires is that you have one sale (of any size) online or you place one order (of any size) every other month. Yep. You can remain active with a $10 (or less) order.

Can I sell Avon Online Only? Absolutely! In 2019, you have a company provided website from the time you register your representative account. Many representatives (more and more are doing it this way) choose to sell Avon online only. They refer potential customers and team members to their online store. Avon makes it easy to navigate a digital brochure (for the customers that love brochures) or to just shop the website (like any other online retailer). Avon also has online exclusive deals for online customers that shop with a representative online. It is also easy for someone to sign up online at a representative’s website.

How much do you make Selling Avon? As an Avon Representative, you make a commission of 20-50% based on your sales. Typically representatives are earning 30-40% based on sales of our core products. Our fashion and home products are fixed commission of 20% for most representatives and 25% for top sellers. You earn additional income when you build a team of representatives starting with a 3% sponsoring bonus from your first team member on all of their sales. There are cash bonus opportunities when you build and mentor a team and sometimes for sales incentives as well.

How do I get paid Selling Avon? Avon offers a direct deposit option for online sales commission and for leadership earnings. With NEW Rapid Pay you can get paid for your online sales within 2 business days from the time the order is placed. Leadership earnings are direct deposited to your bank account every two weeks. When you decide to service customers face to face you will collect the retail cost plus tax for your area from the customer upfront when they place the order with you, you pay Avon the discounted cost when you place your order for the campaign, and then whatever money is left over is your profit for that campaign.

Do I have to hold parties? Nope. While some representatives choose to sell Avon using home parties or online parties, it is not a requirement. Avon prides itself on being separate from the home party network. Most representatives sell to their friends and family and acquaintances and very few choose to hold parties.

Do I have to make deliveries? Nope. If you are like most of us you have a busy schedule. You may be hesitant to sign up to sell Avon because you are worried about the time commitment. As stated above, when you Sell Avon online only Avon will collect customer orders, take payment from your customers, and deliver the order straight to your customer’s doorstep within 4 to 7 business days. Do some customers wish to have the traditional “face to face” interaction and customer service? Yes, some customers do still prefer that, but those customers are not for you if you are looking to Sell Avon online only. Also, it is all about how you spin it. Let customers know that when they shop online they can take advantage of exclusive online deals, sometimes get products before they are in the catalog, have up to date knowledge of product inventory, and they will usually get their orders faster than when you take the order, place it with Avon, and deliver and collect payment. If you are going to sell Avon the traditional way or the traditional way in conjunction with online efforts, it is recommended that you collect payment upfront for orders and set that money aside so that you have it when you place your Avon order so you can pay Avon so the product will be shipped.

Does Avon Provide Training? Yep! Avon provides FREE Training to ALL Representatives from our representative website and on their Facebook page.

Avon is the company that started it all when it came to direct sales! It has been around for 130 years! Avon offered women the opportunity to be CEOs of their own businesses and control their economic destinies 95 Years before the first woman was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court…77 Years before the first woman traveled into space…76 Years before the first woman took the reins of a Fortune 500 company…34 Years before women in the U.S. had the right to vote… and 17 Years before the first woman won the Nobel Prize. About Amanda Davis – My Avon Story

Mission Statement: My mission is to empower others to be their best selves both by serving customers to find products that make them feel beautiful inside and out and through mentoring other Avon Representatives both on and off my team to success in their own businesses.

Awards:

2018-I reached President’s Club sales level ($10000 in sales for 2018) and I earned several incentives to do with increasing my sales throughout the year.

2015-Spirit of Avon Award for sharing helpful tips with all representatives and showing the true spirit of Avon.

A little more about me: I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and still live locally. I have my Masters in Teaching for Early and Elementary Education and I am an early childhood educator. I have been teaching since 2012. I joined Avon in August 2011 in order to earn an income around going to college full time. When I first joined Avon, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I had never heard of direct sales. My mother had actually been an Avon Representative briefly before I was born and she shared some about the company with me and said that I should go for it! I met with my mentor and she signed me up and the rest is history! Over the last several years, Avon has become a major passion of mine and I have enjoyed being able to share Avon and it’s products and missions with those around me.In 2013, I took an interest in expanding my online Avon business and since then I have been blogging and growing my Social Media presence. In 2018, I was honored by Avon to participate in three pilot programs to do with growing my sales online because of my growth in online sales. In 2018, I doubled my online sales over my 2017 online sales. Avon is truly loved by many and when you start sharing that online you can really see the love and support from others worldwide. Even though we can only serve customers in the United States and share the Avon opportunity with those in the USA, worldwide followers will find you on Social Media and the web.  In 2015, I was awarded the Spirit of Avon award and I earned the coveted President’s Club sales level and my first Mrs. P.F.E. Albee figurine. Mrs. P.F.E. Albee was the first Avon Lady back when David McConnell (Avon’s founder) had the California Perfume Company (which later became Avon Products). In 2016, Avon Products North America was bought out and thus New Avon, LLC was born. I have been super excited for the new changes of New Avon, LLC! My goals in 2019 are to continue to grow my online presence, maintain President’s Club sales level and increase my sales over 2018, and add more people to my team A-Mazing Reps by helping others to start their own Avon businesses and build those businesses to be successful and help them reach their goals. I do not have a family yet, but my hope is that when I decide to start one I can use Avon as a source of income in order to stay at home with my children when they are small like my mom stayed home with me and my brother until we both were in school.
