Is Selling Avon Worth It? Absolutely! We all have our own “Why” for starting something new. When it comes to network marketing, there are so many different reasons why people join a network marketing company. In my case, I entered network marketing when I joined Avon back in 2011. I started Avon because I was looking to make money while attending college full time. At the time, I went on a couple interviews for retail part time jobs and nobody wanted to give me a flexible schedule to work around attending classes. I read the description and it seemed appealing to me so I put in my information to be contacted with more information. At the time, I was 22 years old and I didn’t know what network marketing or really what Avon was all about. I mentioned the opportunity to my mom who told me a little more about Avon (she had actually been a representative in the 1980s and she had also been a customer on and off throughout the years) and she said that I should go for it. A few days after I entered my information into the online form, I was I contacted by a representative local to my area who told me a little more and setup a meeting with me. A couple days after that, I met with her and signed up on the spot. Today, you just sign up online but it is important to try to find the mentor you want to sign up with so that you are working with someone that you connect to as well as with someone that wants to see you succeed.

I have now been an Avon Representative for almost 8 years! When I signed up, I had no idea what this would bring to my life. Back then I not only had some extra cash due to my Avon business, but I also enjoyed the discount that I received on my own purchases.   1. Flexibility-Work Avon when and where you want. You choose how to work your Avon business including how many hours you decide to put into it. Choose whether to work it solely with online efforts or solely in person or a mixture. Choose whether to promote it or solely enjoy a personal discount which leads me to my next point.

A little more about me: I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and still live locally. I have my Masters in Teaching for Early and Elementary Education and I am an early childhood educator. I have been teaching since 2012. I joined Avon in August 2011 in order to earn an income around going to college full time. When I first joined Avon, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I had never heard of direct sales. My mother had actually been an Avon Representative briefly before I was born and she shared some about the company with me and said that I should go for it! I met with my mentor and she signed me up and the rest is history! Over the last several years, Avon has become a major passion of mine and I have enjoyed being able to share Avon and it’s products and missions with those around me.In 2013, I took an interest in expanding my online Avon business and since then I have been blogging and growing my Social Media presence. In 2018, I was honored by Avon to participate in three pilot programs to do with growing my sales online because of my growth in online sales. In 2018, I doubled my online sales over my 2017 online sales. Avon is truly loved by many and when you start sharing that online you can really see the love and support from others worldwide.
